Last updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VTRL collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, account system, downloads, payment checkout, and software. 1. Information We Collect a. Account information We collect account details such as username, email address, avatar, session identifiers, account role, Premium status, creation date, linked Discord ID, linked Google ID, and hardware identifiers (HWIDs) used to manage device limits. b. Sign-in information If you sign in with Discord or Google, we receive the account information those providers make available to us for authentication, such as an account ID, email address, username, and profile image. c. Payment and subscription records Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes. We store Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, subscription status, price IDs, renewal/cancellation status, referral-code use, checkout metadata, and webhook event IDs so that we can maintain Premium access, prevent duplicate processing, handle refunds, and support billing questions. d. Regional pricing and tax information Stripe may use customer location signals, including public IP address, billing details, tax location data, payment method information, and checkout selections, to calculate taxes, determine available payment methods, and present localized currency pricing. We receive limited payment-session and subscription data from Stripe, such as currency, amount, payment status, customer email, and subscription status. e. Analytics and website usage We use Plausible Analytics to understand website usage and purchase funnel performance. This may include pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser information, referral information, and event data. We also use Microsoft Advertising to measure advertising performance. Its advertising storage follows the choice you make on the website. We use basic server logs and security signals to keep the website available and secure. f. Support and communications If you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address, account details, message content, and any diagnostic information needed to respond. 2. How We Use Information We use information to provide accounts, authenticate users, deliver free and Premium features, process subscriptions, manage cancellation and renewal status, apply referral codes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce device limits, respond to support requests, improve the website and software, measure conversions, comply with legal obligations, and protect VTRL and our users. 3. Legal Bases for Processing Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, operate and secure the Service, comply with legal obligations, process payments and taxes, prevent fraud, answer support requests, and pursue legitimate interests such as improving VTRL and measuring website performance. Where consent is required for analytics or marketing technologies, we rely on consent. 4. How We Share Information We share information with service providers only as needed to operate VTRL: - Stripe for checkout, subscriptions, taxes, fraud prevention, payment processing, and billing records. - Discord and Google when you use their authentication services. - Plausible Analytics for website analytics, app endpoint activity, and conversion measurement. - Microsoft Advertising for campaign measurement when you allow advertising cookies. - Hosting, database, security, email, and infrastructure providers that help run the website and account system. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. 5. Cookies and Similar Technologies We use cookies or similar storage for login sessions, security, site functionality, measurement, payment checkout, and saved choices. Stripe, Google, Discord, and other third-party services may set their own cookies or process identifiers according to their own policies. Microsoft Advertising storage is denied until you allow it. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the website footer. 6. Retention We keep account information while your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. Billing, subscription, tax, fraud-prevention, and webhook records may be kept longer where needed for accounting, compliance, dispute handling, chargebacks, or security. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed and retention is not legally or operationally required. 7. International Transfers VTRL and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including provider contractual commitments and transfer mechanisms offered by our vendors. 8. Security We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls, hashed or tokenized authentication where appropriate, webhook signature verification, and limited storage of payment data. No system is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. 9. Your Rights Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority.
